The drawing for the raffle will be at a regular meeting in June. The raffle tickets are $10.00. From Milli: Volunteers needed for upcoming work weekends. For full info, click here. June 1-2, June 29-30, July 27-28. From Sharon: The construction committee is now working on the new lodge. We are in need of cleaning supplies. If anyone would like to donate some cleaning items it would be appreciated. Here are some suggestions. Please bring them to a meeting. Paper towels, sponges, Windex, bathroom cleaner, cleanser, bleach, dish detergent, shelf paper, brooms, spic and span, buckets, brushes, fantastic or similar item, toilet bowl cleaner, trash bags and heavy duty bags, plastic gloves, floor cleaner , vinegar, small dust pan/brush, vacuum and wet vac. If you are buying something for yourself on sale pick up another one for the lodge! Also this is the time for tag sales. IF you don't have furniture to donate, you could go to a tag sale, church sale or rummage sale and donate one of the following items: Chairs, nightstands, small tables, lamps, area rugs (not contemporary style). Some of the furniture that is donated is in need of TLC. IF you would like to donate your time to refinish some items like small tables, nightstands and chest of drawers it would be greatly appreciated. We are not too fussy! You could do this in your own house. You could stain or paint the items. Also, we need to move a donated player piano from Plymouth (just north of Ludlow) to the new lodge during the month of May. Would anyone have a suitable truck (ideally with a lift gate)? Barbara Murkowicz has submitted some MTL Hiking Photos. Congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors. Bob Wallace has submitted a summary of the election. The Monday Night Biking Schedule for 2013 is now online! Member News: From Terri Tabshey - Special thanks to my fellow MTL friends for your thoughtfulness and the many many cards, phone calls, and visits during my recent illness. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I think I made it and you will see me soon.
We have created a web page devoted to the new lodge. The password will be revealed at meetings and in the upcoming Sunday Squall. No content is in there yet. We'll be adding some going forward including a summary of donated furniture. New Lodge - The Lodge Household Planning & Design committee is beginning to collect information on gently used furniture that Club Members may have to donate to the new Lodge. If you have sofas / loveseats, living room chairs, bureau, twin or double beds that you want us to consider, could you please send or email pictures of the items with the color and dimensions to Marti Andryzeck at her e-mail: mandryzeck@cox.net . We will be looking for other items to donate in the coming months. The purchase of the new lodge in Ludlow has taken place! The closing has been completed! Take a look at photos of the property. It's unrelated to skiing but your webmaster has put together a website with tips for basic computer tasks. When the grandkids aren't around to help you, check out GoldenYearsGeek.com Click for more information about Mt. Laurel Skiers.
