Dear Member,

Time flies!  A few diehards are still skiing up north but more of us are logging miles on bikes and refining our golf swings.  Mt. Laurel is a club that is as active in the summer as it is in the winter.  Here's a snapshot of what to expect in the weeks to come.

Kayaking

KayakMore and more MTL members are discovering the joys of kayaking!  Join us for a presentation at the club meeting this Wednesday, May 2nd.   There will be a demo weekend put on by North Cove Outfitters on May 5-6 and a Bike/Kayak Demo/Buy/Swap Demo Day at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington on May 12th before Eila's party. Check out the full lineup of kayak activities for the club this summer!

Appreciation dinner and Fashion Show - May 9th

Have you purchased your ticket yet?  Zabbara's provides their facilities to us for free and we take this opportunity to extend our thanks to them.  See Penny Trick (or call 860-666-7885) or Pat Revoir  at this Wednesday's meeting to buy a ticket.  $14.  The same night you will be entertained with a Fashion Show!  In the past, our Fashion Shows had been devoted exclusively to winter sports but you will be treated to the latest apparel of springtime sports!

CSC and Monday Night Race Awards  - May 16

Mt.Laurel can be very proud of the efforts of the many fine alpine racers who represent the club. Join us the 16th as we recognize those who earned awards this past season.

Annual Banquet - May 19

The legendary Bobby Darling (you'll be treated to him twice this month - he is performing at Eila's 70th birthday party too!)  will be performing and the deadline to buy tickets is May 9th.  Tickets can be purchased at the meetings or by sending the money and the form to Carol Rowan.  All information is on the website or in the current newsletter.  Don't miss a great time!
