Dear Member,

It's only been a few days since our last e-Blast but there are a few items that need to brought to your attention.

UPCOMING ELECTIONS

MTL Logo MTL needs you!
Elections are scheduled for April 25th.  Your club is a volunteer organization and has endured for six decades because members like you stepped to the plate and offered to help out.  Serving on the MTL board is an honor and a great way for you to help out an organization that has given so much to all of us over the years.  Contact Joe Mangione (he will be at the St. Patrick's Dinner Wednesday night) to let him and the election committee know which position you'd like to seek.

JAY PEAK

 Annual "Drive Trip
MTL has returned from our annual drive trip to Jay Peak.  The temperatures were cold but the attendees had fun.  The brave snowshoers in this photo were surviving wind chills of 40 below.  Check out the slideshow.  Thanks to Dave England, Jenny Ebner, and Norm Gordon for the photos.  Highlight of the trip? MTL members Jean Clark and John Menze got engaged!

CAN'T MISS EVENTS

Pig Roast and Lip Synch
The Lodge sees the end of another ski season with Pig Roast Weekend April 13-15.  It's a strange transition time.  Some members will still be skiing and others biking and playing golf.  Come join us for this terrific event.

April 18 sees the return of Lip Synch.  Once again John Ewen hosts this incredible night.  Get there early if you want a seat.  It just keeps getting better and better every year.

MONDAY NIGHT BIKING

 Get ready to pedal!!!!
It's hard to believe but Monday Night Biking is just around the corner.  Since the biking season was quite long this fall and winter, you should be ready for spring and our regular Monday rides. Each week a different MTL member hosts a ride.  The host is responsible for marking the routes (short, medium, and long), providing maps, checking riders in, and finding a place for pizza afterwards. Some members host picnics at their homes, which is always a welcome change.  Interested? Note: Andy is contemplating starting early this season on April 30th.  Stay tuned....   Contact Andy LeClair, bike chairperson, at 860-2830-4889.

FASHION SHOW

 Don't miss it!

MTL spring fashion show featuring golf, tennis and bike clothing.  The co-chairs, Milli Arnold, Sharon Houck and Charlotte LeClair will be looking for models, male and female, to showcase these fashions from local merchants.  See one of them at meetings if you are interested.  They already have a few biker chicks and guys in mind for the items from Biker's Edge in Bristol.

That's it for the moment.  This new vehicle for disseminating news is still experiencing growing pains. The link to the Davos slideshow in the last e-Blast didn't work.

If you have any items of club news that need to be disseminated please e-mail them to me at webmaster@mtlski.com.  I'd also welcome your suggestions.

Sincerely,

Patrick Moore
