Mark your calendars for for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28th for Mt. Laurel Skiers'
Annual
Open House at the Whinstone Tavern at Stanley Golf Course, 245 Hartford Road in
New Britain (see map below). More than just a ski club, Mt. Laurel has
established itself as Connecticut's premier ski, sports, and social club.
Founded in 1946 it has evolved into a true four-season organization whose year-round activities include golf, tennis, biking, hiking,
kayaking, dances, dinners, and
parties as well as traditional winter activities like downhill skiing,
snowboarding, cross country skiing, racing and snowshoeing. We even
offer free ski lessons! Each year
we take two week-long trips - one in the northeast and one in either Europe or out
west. Our lodge near Okemo Mountain in Vermont sleeps 38 at very
affordable prices. Members can purchase lift tickets to several New
England resorts at significant discounts and participate in heavily discounted
days at a number of other locations. We have an active downhill racing
program and are perennial contenders at the Connecticut Ski Council's Monday Night
Racing and On Snow Winter Carnival. Our Wednesday Night program is packed with presentations and
social events. Whether you're a neophyte or a double black diamond expert,
we want to share the Mt. Laurel story with
you!!
